The Online Program (Self-Paced) is a comprehensive high school program for youths and adults who require in depth instruction. It is a perfect program for home schoolers, young teens and for individuals who want a more robust learning experience. The Online Program allows you to graduate from High School at your own pace very effectively. It is a slower paced program that is comprised of various learning modules, assignments, quizzes and timed assessments. The duration of this program is 30 months (you may work faster). And great news because North American Academy is a private school, you are conferred a High School Diploma rather than a GED! In Module One you will be pretested with an assessment tool to determine your pregraduate academic level. Upon enrollment, you will gain access to the program so you can begin immediately. Virtual instructors will be assigned to you, and a link to access your student dashboard will be emailed to you. You may complete the program at your own pace. Online support is offered with this program as well as, in certain regions, accessibility to virtual classrooms may be available.
How does the OnlineProgram work?
Our Online high school diploma training is an restorative program. It consists of the core academic requirements needed for graduation. Our programs meet the requirements outlined by the state for high school level education. Our academic curriculum follows the common core standards and includes the recommended content of both the Sun Shine State Standards (SSS) and Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).
We base the credits you receive on a credit hour basis and not clock hours as traditional schools. You have the capability of completing the program based on content and not on clock hours. Completing your credit hour content is what defines our program as "restorative." Many schools, colleges, universities and trade schools nationwide have programs that are credit hours vs. clock hours, which are approved across the board by the US Department of Education and accrediting commissions nationwide.
